Já virou uma espécie de tradição as listas de Barack Obama. Anualmente, o ex-presidente dos Estados Unidos, divulga quais foram seus filmes, séries, músicas e livros favoritos do ano.
Ao compartilhar suas escolhas no Twitter, Obama fez questão de destacar o documentário Indústria Americana. Esta foi a primeira produção da Higher Ground Productions, do casal Barack e Michelle Obama. O documentário original da Netflix foi dirigido por Steven Bognar e Julia Reichert.
