Na noite deste domingo (28), a MTV realizou a 33ª edição do Video Music Awards, que neste ano contou com alguns detalhes interessantes. Pela primeira vez na história a cerimônia foi realizada no Madison Square Garden, em Nova Iorque. Outra novidade é que o VMA 2016 não contou com um apresentador fixo, como nas últimas edições, sendo comandado por um time composto por várias celebridades.
Rihanna foi a artista homenageada da noite e recebeu o troféu "Michael Jackson Video Vanguard Award", prêmio que já foi entregue a nomes como Madonna, Beyoncé, Britney Spears, Justin Timberlake e no ano passado a Kanye West.
