Na noite desta segunda-feira (12), foi realizada a entrega dos prêmios da 74ª edição do Emmy Awards, premiação anualmente organizada pela Academia de Artes e Ciências Televisivas dos Estados Unidos. A cerimônia aconteceu no Microsoft Theater, localizado na cidade de Los Angeles, Califórnia, e contou com a apresentação do ator e comediante Kenan Thompson. Para a edição deste ano, foram elegíveis as séries e programas de TV lançados nos EUA entre 1 de junho de 2021 a 31 de maio de 2022.
Duas séries da HBO lideraram as indicações: Succession e The White Lotus receberam doze e onze nomeações, respectivamente. Na sequência, aparecem Ted Lasso (com dez indicações), Dopesick (nove), Barry, Ruptura e Round 6 (sete indicações cada). Concorreram seis vezes Abbott Elementary, Only Murders in the Building, Ozark e Yellowjackets.
Vencendo cinco categorias, The White Lotus foi a atração que ganhou a maior quantidade de prêmios. Ted Lasso recebeu quatro estatuetas e Succession foi vitoriosa em três categorias. Abbott Elementary e Round 6 venceram duas categorias cada.
No tocante a rede de transmissão, a HBO/HBO Max liderou com folga a edição deste ano, com cinquenta nomeações. O Hulu aparece na sequência (vinte e seis indicações), seguido pela Netflix (vinte e três) e Apple TV+ (dezenove). A HBO/HBO Max recebeu doze estatuetas, sendo seguida pela Apple TV+, com quatro, e a Netflix, com três.
