Pode parecer estranho, mas o Emmy 2023 está acontecendo em 2024. A cerimônia de entrega dos prêmios da 75ª edição do Emmy Awards originalmente aconteceria em setembro do ano passado, porém, devido a greve dos roteiristas e atores em Hollywood, foi transferida para a noite desta segunda-feira, 15 de janeiro. O evento foi realizado no Peacock Theater, em Los Angeles, e contou com a apresentação do ator e comediante Anthony Anderson. Concorreram as séries e programas de TV lançados nos EUA entre 1 de junho de 2022 a 31 de maio de 2023.
Com quatorze nomeações, Succession liderou a lista dos indicados, sendo seguida por The White Lotus, que concorreu doze vezes. Na sequência aparecem Treta (com nove indicações), Ted Lasso (oito), Barry, O Urso e Dahmer: Um Canibal Americano (com seis nomeações cada).
Succession e O Urso obtiveram seis vitórias cada, incluindo os prêmios de melhor série de drama e melhor série de comédia, respectivamente. Treta recebeu cinco estatuetas.
No tocante a rede de transmissão, a HBO/HBO Max liderou a edição de 2023, concorrendo quarenta e três vezes. A Netflix aparece na sequência, com 23 indicações, seguida pela Appe TV+, com dezessete nomeações.
A HBO obteve nove prêmios, seguida pela Netflix e o FX, que venceram seis categorias cada.
